Our founder’s journey
Ayman Mukerji began her mindfulness practice in the midst of personal tragedy. As she experienced a profound reduction in stress and greater clarity in her relationships, work, and health, she realized that the most effective tools were also the simplest.
Motivated to share these practical techniques with others, Ayman left her successful Wall Street career to pursue advanced training in neuroimmunology research at NYU and later became a clinical social worker. She has published multiple peer-reviewed neuroscience papers and contributed chapters to academic books.
In 2019, a physician colleague invited Ayman to teach mindfulness to a room full of medical students—introducing her to the depth of clinician burnout. Since then, she has dedicated her career to making stress management accessible through science-backed micro-habits that fit into even the busiest clinical schedules. To date, Ayman has worked with 32 hospitals, helping healthcare workers build resilience without adding burden.
